Perfect...
When I bought this box on Amazon I wasn't sure how it will look and feel. It arrived in no time and when I looked at it, I was extremely happy with what I saw. the watch box is so rich, clean and well-made. The top is made of clear glass and shows every feature of my watches when I look through it. It also comes with a glass cleaning cloth! If you care for a perfect watch box for your collection, this is the one for you. It may be a few dollars more expensive than some other boxes, but it is worth every penny!

Great
It looks great. It arrived in a few days with free shipping. It holds all my large watches very nicely. No complaints here.

a great gift
I got this as a going away gift for my boss and it looks great. The entire box has a nice luxurious feel to it and it does look fancy. The wood has a nice color to it and the inside is nice a soft. I highly recommend this as a gift for someone with lots of watches.

History of G-Shock
With the launch of its first watch in November 1974, Casio entered the wristwatch market at a time when the watch industry had just discovered digital technology. As a company with cutting-edge electronic technology developed for pocket calculators, Casio entered this field confident that it could develop timepieces that would lead the market.

In developing its own wristwatches Casio began with the basic question, “What is a wristwatch?” Rather than simply making a digital version of the conventional mechanical watch, we thought that the ideal wristwatch should be something that shows all facets of time in a consistent way. Based on this, Casio was able to create a watch that displayed the precise time including the second, minute, hour, day, and month — not to mention a.m. or p.m., and the day of the week. It was the first watch in the world with a digital automatic calendar function that eliminated the need to reset the calendar due the variation in month length. Rather than using a conventional watch face and hands, a digital liquid crystal display was adopted to better show all the information. This culminated in the 1974 launch of the CASIOTRON, the world’s first digital watch with automatic calendar. The CASIOTRON won acclaim as a groundbreaking product that represented a complete departure from the conventional wristwatch.

Casio transformed the concept of the watch — from a mere timepiece to an information device for the wrist — and undertook product planning based on this innovative idea. We developed not only time functions such as global time zone watches, but also other radical new functions using Casio’s own digital technology, including calculator and dictionary functions, as well as a phonebook feature based on memory technology, and even a thermometer function using a built-in sensor. The memory-function watches became our DATA BANK product series, while the sensor watches developed into two unique Casio product lines of today: the PRO TREK series displaying altitude, atmospheric pressure, and compass readings, as well as the pulse-measuring PHYS watches for athletes.

Casio has achieved innovation not only in watch functions, but also in the areas of manufacturing and materials. By being the first in the world to adopt plastic for the watch case and wristband in 1978, Casio paved the way for production efficiency and cost reduction, while also expanding the possibilities for design, and contributing to the subsequent diversification of digital watch development and market expansion. In 1985, Casio launched the PELA, which swept the market by delivering the ultimate in a slim, lightweight watch. The ultra-thin PELA was made possible by building all parts directly into the case, and forming the case and wristband simultaneously as a single piece.

In 1983, Casio launched the shock-resistant G-SHOCK watch. This product shattered the notion that a watch is a fragile piece of jewelry that needs to be handled with care, and was the result of Casio engineers taking on the challenge of creating the world’s toughest watch. Using a triple-protection design for the parts, module, and case, the G-SHOCK offered a radical new type of watch that was unaffected by strong impacts or shaking. Its practicality was immediately recognized, and its unique look, which embodied its functionality, became wildly popular, resulting in explosive sales in the early 1990s. The G-SHOCK soon adopted various new sensors, solar-powered radio-controlled technology (described below), and new materials for even better durability. By always employing the latest technology, and continuing to transcend conventional thinking about the watch, the G-SHOCK brand has become Casio’s flagship timepiece product.

Today, Casio is focusing its efforts on solar-powered radio-controlled watches: the built-in solar battery eliminates the nuisance of replacing batteries, and the radio-controlled function means users never have to reset the time. In particular, the radio-controlled function represents a revolution in time-keeping technology similar to the impact created when mechanical watches gave way to quartz technology. Through the further development of high radio-wave sensitivity, miniaturization, and improved energy efficiency, Casio continues to produce a whole range of radio-controlled models including the OCEANUS.

Great
Although it took me some time to get used to all the functions, this clock works great. The users manual teaches you exactly how to get the most accurate readings, but a quick preview of the sensors is usually enough. Never tested it in the extreme conditions it says it can handle, but in the above-normal ones still works great.

Great watch for the price!
Once you set up this watch correctly it works like a champ! The book is about an inch thick, but broken down fairly well. I have been wearing it for about 2 months now and have loved it!

HUGE!
This is a great watch with all the features. But if you have a small frame- thin wrist- like I do, the watch may look gigantic on you. Considering the diameter which is a little more than 2 inches, it is made for people weighing 150 lbs or more. If you are, get this watch!

Beautiful winder, that works perfectly!
What else can I say, beautiful finish, soft velvety interior, and quiet efficient operation. Keeps my Breitling Crosswind Special wound when I'm not using it, and I can keep my Breitling Chronospace in the other slot (and not have it wound as it's a quartz movement) when I'm wearing my Breitling B-1.

Highly recommended! Now I just have to get another automatic to make full use of both slots (can someone say Breitling Cosmonaute?) :)

Head of household
We found this product to be very high quality and very competitively priced. Like products sell at jewelry stores for $400.00 to $500.00!

Heuer's reputation for gold-standard precision earned the company the privilege of providing official timing services for a number of world-class competitive sporting events, including the Olympic Games, the FIS Ski World Cup, and the FIA Formula 1 World Championships. To this day, TAG Heuer maintains a close association with the world of competitive sports and enjoys a devoted following among sports celebrities and enthusiasts. Customer Reviews
Nice watch with best of both worlds !
I wanted a watch which has both the digital and analog interfaces and still looks presentable. And this watch fits in perfectly.

The really good things about this watch that i like :

1. Nice sturdy watch. ( i have hit it here and there a few times now and its still in one piece.) I have even hit directly on the glass but no scratches yet so that shows the good build quality.

2.Really nice set of features. The world clock is particularly useful and there are a bunch of others which I haven't used yet.

3. Metal Strap. I have been using it daily for about 6 months now and it has a pretty good shine to it.

One of the drawback is its not that easy to learn "How to set it up". I actually have to refer to the manual each( but since you don't have to set it up that often so i guess you can live with that). Also the manual that comes with the watch is really uncomfortable to read. I had to download a pdf version of it to be at ease with it.

But overall, I would say its a good watch with a nice price tag.( i paid about 50 bucks for it)

Just a wonderful watch
I've always been a fan of gadget watches. Well this one takes the cake. I get more complements about this watch then any other one I've had. I took it to the jeweler to size it and his first words were, "Man, that's an interesting watch."
You will really like the temperature gauge once you calibrate it for the temperature of your body. You can always just take it off and wait a few minutes for the temperature of the room, but I like instant temp. Took about a month to finally get the temperature correct using the temperature change feature.
The other feature I use often is the world time. It has the time for everywhere in the world. Once you set up the watch, it's just click the button and go. Very simple directions in the booklet.
For this low price, I should really buy two. All my other watches were 4 times this price.
